Michael Keaton was an American actor, producer, and director, most well-known as the main character of Birdman. As a versatile actor, he has the ability to play comedy and dramatic characters. An actor who is versatile who is adept when it comes to dramatic and comedic roles. The passion for performing arts started when he was in his teen years. He attempted stand-up comedy in his early 20s. He was unsuccessful in his comedy career however this set the way to his successful acting career. In order to succeed as a comedian, he got a job in the role of a cameraman with a local cable television station. While working at the station, it was when he realized it was his dream to be in front of the camera. He was then offered a television role, appearing in many episodes in Mister Rogers Neighborhood. He was a natural actor and gained popularity quickly on television. He embarked on an acting career in film with huge hopes and achieved a great deal of recognition through his comedic characters. The actor gained more fame for his role as Batman as the main character in Tim Burton's Batman. Over time the actor's acting abilities improved and he began to explore production and directing. The Birdman film of 2014 Birdman film won him a number of awards and nominations.
