Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania and is now an actress from Germany and Romania. Her best-known films include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. The only child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareu, Alexandra began her career in show business at an early age. By the time she reached the age of 16years old, Alexandra was able to land prominent roles in a variety of shows on television. The Oscar-nominated film Downfall, her role as Secretary Traudljunge, Adolf Hitler's secretary was also critically acclaimed. Additional Oscar nominated movies featuring the famous diva are The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra's professional career has included work on a number of notable international and national projects. These include British biographical film Control as well as The Dust of Time as in addition to the French historic miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she was a member of both The Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
